Seminole County School Board ratified a new schedule for the 2015-2016 calendar year. The start date is now on Aug 17, 2015. Please see the attached document for exact dates for that calendar year.

Rising seniors
Please make appointments at Leonard’s Photography Studio to take your senior photos. There is a $10 sit fee, and this will get you their traditional senior photo for the yearbook. You must take your photo with Leonard’s if you want to be in the yearbook. You can also arrange to have other photo packages for an extra cost. School Connects

Lake Howell High School and the Seminole County School District continually work to improve the communication between the school, district and our school community. We are in the process of implementing a new school notification system called SchoolConnects. This new notification system will include enhanced features that will promote more effective communications with our entire school district. The system will allow us to notify the community of school closings, absences, and emergency situations using email, voice, and text messaging. To receive messages please make sure that all of your contact information is up to date in Skyward. To receive text messages you must opt in by sending the message “join” to 56360. Please note you will not be able to reply to text messages sent from the school.



Schedule changes for 2015-2016 School Year
Please fill out the form available HERE in order to change your schedule for the next school year. After the school year begins, changes will only be made for students who are misplaced by level or who've already received credit for the course. An elective changes need to be made this summer before students return to school in August.

Attention In coming 9th grade students 
Freshman Kick Off will be held August 7th, 2015 at 8 AM in the Auditorium. Please download the registration form and return it by July 8th

Monday-Thursday (No Summer School on Fridays)
Hours: 7:20 a.m.—1:18 p.m.

June 22-July 15: Summer School Session 2*
  *School System closed June 29- July 3

Transition Facts
  • Students with a middle school GPA < 2.0 or;
  • Students who have been assigned to high school (not regularly promoted) or;
  • Level 1 or 2 on 7th grade FCAT Reading & Math or;
  • Has been retained 2 or more times or;
  • Identified with a high "risk score" in EdInsight or;
  • Any student recommended for additional support by the middle school principal
  • Transition program will last the entire summer of June 2 - July 15
  • Transportation will be provided
  • Instruction will be given in Math, Reading/English, and/or Science
  • If a "C" grade is obtained, student will be promoted vs. assigned
  • Opportunity for voucher with Seminole State College
