About us:

The team competes in an academic challenge against the other schools in the county. The questions asked come from all the major subject areas (English, science, math, and social studies) and also include foreign language, art, and music related questions as well.

How the competition works:

Each competition has 3 rounds with the points for each question rising with each new round. Answers are worth 5, 10, 15 points and wrong answers lead to the same number of points for each round being deducted from each team's score. A running score is kept through every one of the five competitions and the team with the most points at the end wins the competition. Also, the best five or six competitors from any of the teams will be chosen to represent the county in the state competition once the county competitions are completed.
