Eric was a varsity
baseball player for Lake Howell High School for 4 years (c/o 1987).
Later as a Brevard Community CollegeAll-State Athlete, Eric was
a starter on the team that finished 5
thin the nation at the Junior college
World Series. Following his success at BCC, he went on to receive a
full scholarship to play at UF where he received 2nd team SEC
All-Honors and the Dave Fuller Award for being the Most Effective Hitter.
He later transferred to play at UCF where
he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science/Criminal Justice.
Eric was invited to train
with the Houston Astros for his outstanding athletic abilities. Though the
Astros career did not end with a major league contract, his
love for desire to compete did not end. He went on to
coach girls’ club volleyball and high school volleyball where he
was assistant coach to the 2014 2A Girls’ Volleyball State Champions.
During the offseason, Eric
coached girls’ high school weightlifting, youth athlete strength training,
personal training, and has himself competed in strength/fitness
competitions. He was most recently head coach at West Port
High High School in Marion County.
Eric demonstrates a
positive attitude in all aspects of life and believes that by encouraging
student athletes to do the same, their success will extend beyond the sport.
He, his wife Laura(LHHS c/o 1990), and their son
and daughter,
Logan and Carly,look forward to
returning home to the Lake Howell community!
