![]() Lake Howell High is back for another school year, and so is the InFlight Newspaper! As times change, so must the way we as a society receive our news. It has been often said that newspapers are dying. Dying with the ways of modern society – the internet, cellular capability, and television broadcasts are making print newspapers less and less popular. However, it is not true those newspapers are dying. Newspapers are evolving. And thus, the InFlight Newspaper continues on to its second year of online content. The site is designed to streamline how students access the news that is relevant to their day to day life. School event announcements, updates on the major school-wide clubs, and varsity sports teams will all be continuously updated throughout the year, providing a solid archive of information for the curious and active student to access. InFlight has not stopped its print issues however, as we will be looking to print two issues later this year, covering the problems and events that shape our daily lives outside of the realm of clubs and activities. The print issues will be dedicated to opinions, editorials and stories to entertain, as a partner to the facts online. The 2010 – 2011 school year is the first in the next decade of high achievement for Lake Howell, and I look forward to a memorable, valuable and beyond satisfactory school year for myself and all the students at Lake Howell. |
